Put Money In Its Place
PT Barnum wrote a book called The Art of Money Getting. It’s about making and keeping money. I could never be author of that book. Frankly, I’m clueless. We don’t have an app on our phone with stock market numbers, and we don’t have a broker. We have a 401K, but don’t ask me how it’s doing or even how much money we have in it. I use coupons only if they fall out of my purse in the checkout line. Money’s a necessary thing in this world we live in, but it’s not that important to us. Her: Whaaaat? I can’t write a book! Him: Sure you can. How many books have you read in your life? A thousand? Her: That’s crazy and not the same thing at all. I can’t write a book. Two days later: Him: You should write a book. Her: I can’t write a book. That’s crazy talk. Him: Two more days later: …

Get The Prize: Life Lessons Learned From Racing
Learn my husband Bobby’s take on marriage and relationships in his series “Life Lessons Learned From Racing.” He is a professional race car driver who also happens to be a terrific husband. You can read our racing story and see a 5-minute video of our first national win in my post “Be There”. Lori One of the best moments in my career came courtesy of ESPN. I was on a hot streak and was getting a lot of TV time. (To get air time in Alcohol Funny Car, you had to not only qualify for the race, but win first round. The TV coverage started in the second round.) It was…
