    STOPPP

One of my favorite speakers, Jeff Henderson, asked this question recently: “Why did Jesus weep when Lazarus died when he knew he would raise him from the dead?” Now, you might not believe in Jesus or know who Lazarus is, but it’s a fascinating story! And, there is relationship advice here. Let me tell you. It’s so so good. There are two guys named Lazarus in the Bible; this one is Lazarus of Bethany. He was brother to Mary and Martha, and the three siblings were very close friends of Jesus. Lazarus got really sick, and the sisters sent word to Jesus that he needed to get there pronto to…

    Long Line of Love

These pictures, taken at two different times, are remarkably similar. One is of my parents-in-law, and the other is of my husband and me. However, while the look of these pictures may be coincidental, the story these pictures reveal indeed IS NOT. I met my husband in September of 1981, and three months later, I was on my way to Western New York to meet his whole family for Christmas. I was a wreck. He said…the people you listen to are a preview of the future you. Let that sink in. I’ll wait. It’s not uncommon for me to hear women complaining about their marriage or relationship to one another. I’m sure men do it, too. This happens everywhere – seated next to me at the coffee shop, at their desks at work, and on their cell phone – well – everywhere. And even among a group of women I am meeting for…

    These Are My Friends

My cousin recently visited Italy. While he was there, he stayed with friends at an Airbnb.  They were trying to decide where to eat one night, and their host got wind of it. He came over and told them about a great place a short walk away. He then charmingly escorted them to the restaurant, introduced them to the owners, and with arms outstretched, he boisterously exclaimed “These are my friends. Make them fat!” I love this story! Who wouldn’t want to be welcomed like this?!? I come from a long line of hospitable people. My paternal grandparents were Italian immigrants from Castel Frentano. They had 12 children and not…
